Conveyor belts
The construction of a conveyor belt and the materials from which it is made confer certain conveying characteristics to the belt, which must be suitable for the given conveyor, the type of material to be transported, the operating conditions and the type of environment in which it will be used.
The load-bearing element of a conveyor belt, which determines its technical parameters such as tensile strength, elongation and elasticity, is a rope made up of several layers of synthetic fabrics, bonded together and coated with a suitable plastic. The type of coating determines the belt’s properties and, at the same time, its suitability for use in a given environment.
